“I Understand Your Displeasure” celebrates its world premiere in the Panorama section at the Berlinale.

We are very pleased to announce that "I understand your displeasure" by Kilian Armando Friedrich will celebrate its world premiere in the Panorama section of the Berlinale. The film is a production of WennDann Film in co-production with ZDF das kleine Fernsehspiel, in collaboration with the University of Television and Film Munich.

At the center of the story is Heike (59), a cleaning manager who mediates between customers, company management and cleaning staff on a daily basis. After she tries to poach an unofficially employed worker from an important subcontractor against the rules, the subcontractor threatens to end the cooperation - unless he gets more hours and turnover. In order to meet these demands, Heike is increasingly caught in a conflict between her responsibility for her own employees and the structural conditions of the low-wage sector.

With its precise social observation and great emotional closeness, the film focuses on working realities that often remain invisible, while at the same time posing fundamental questions about responsibility, dignity and solidarity.

Films Botique is responsible for world sales and Real Fiction will bring the film to German cinemas.
